2007 – UD Masterpieces Baseball – Bust #0008
The next pack rip in my queue is a pack of 2007 Upper Deck Masterpieces Baseball. This is one of my favorite lines for 2007. It’s also probably my favorite pack to pick up at Walmart. Nice and cheap, and inside a blister pack, safe from pack searchers. On with the pack!
First, the initial peak inside. Any fatties in there? Nope. Oh well, let’s proceed.
19 – Ozzie Smith – Very nice card to start with! The patented back flip from the Wizard of Oz. It’s impossible to not like Ozzie Smith.
6 – Kirk Gibson – Ugggh. As a former A’s fan from the 80s, this is a painful memory to relive. I am, to this day, still convinced that Gibson’s Game 1 homerun in the ’88 World Series was staged. No one can convince me otherwise.
79 – Chipper Jones – Another guy I’ve never had a problem with. I like getting Chipper’s cards.
66 – Howie Kendrick – Howie’s the only player in this pack I’m not familiar with.

Verdict: Love the Ozzie, hate the Gibson. Jones is always a welcome addition. This pack isn’t too shabby at all.

Ilike the Chipper. Like to trade but not into 1 card deals. I’ll watch for others and maybe we can work out a deal later on to include the Jones.
